Rolling Hills Hike, Miyun, Beijing, China: October 28th, 2023
These pictures were taken while on a hike organized by Beijing Hikers. We were in Miyun District, a two-hour drive from the Chinese capital of Beijing. It was a four-hour hike that took us up and around the rolling hills, farmland, and valleys dotting the landscape. The pictures were taken with my iPhone and edited using Adobe Lightroom.
Down in the valley of trees.
The trail ahead.
Down into the valley, trail in the back ground.
Farmland in the valley.
Combine harvester made me feel at home.
A tree lined driveway marks our path.
Through the trees.
Following the group.
Back where we came from.
Spooky trees?
A road we didn't travel.
Traipsing through a farm.
Creative uses for old doors.
More animal pens.
Across the valley.
The trail upward.
Across the valley filled with trees.
Farmland at the base of the valley.
A different path down the hill.
Hills or Mountains.
Valley Farmland.
The path we took.
The haze across the valley.
Looks like terracing.
Ridges everywhere.
This reminds me of back home.
Crops.
A lone brick building.
Trees and power lines.
A curve.
A look through the bowl.
The rim of the bowl.
Down into the bowl.
Across the bowl.
The start of the final descent.
The walk out.
Some farmland.
A small village where we stopped for a bathroom break.
