Chaoyang Park, Beijing, China:
June 18th, 2023
My family and I took an early morning Father’s Day stroll through and around Chaoyang Park, which is just a stone’s throw away from our apartment building. I was finally comfortable bringing along my camera and snap a few photos of life in and around this wonderful park. As our time here progresses, I hope to explore this massive park much more extensively. I used a Fujifilm X-T200. There were some minor edits to most photographs, mainly cropping and scaling each to a 4:3 ratio.
Bikes and scooters move along the western edge of Chaoyang Park
Fishermen pass the time waiting for bites along the canal.
Runners near the western gate in Chaoyang Park.
Folks out early hoping to beat the late spring heat in Bejing. Chaoyang Park is a great place to do it.
Painted trees and a lovely couple walking in the distance.
Ducks in a duck pond with some Beijing buildings looming in the back ground.
A worker clearing debris from the large pond situated at the center of Chaoyang Park. He has really great balance.
A lonely lotus emerges from the edge of the pond.
The eastern edge of Solana, a shopping mall located a 15 minute walk from our apartment. It is filled with restaurants and stores, many of which you could find in the States.
Another lonely lotus.
A lonely lotus kept company by a black swan.
The alleyway just outside our apartment complex. This is this is the first leg of the walk to the embassy.
