Walking Tour and the Kanagawa Derby, Tokyo, Japan: April 9th, 2025

Follow me on a visual journey through Tokyo's lesser-known neighborhoods. I recently visited the Japanese capital and joined Frank, an Airbnb Experience host, on a walking tour through some of the city’s hidden gems: Nakameguro, Den-en-chofu, Musashi Koyama, Togoshi Ginza, and Shimokitazawa.

Armed with my Fujifilm XT200 and a 35 mm fixed lens, I set out to capture a part of the city that thrives away from the tourist crowds. Each photograph tells a story of new places with vibrant markets and unique charm, expanding our understanding of this bustling city.

After exploring these neighborhoods and mastering the Tokyo Metro, my journey culminated in the exhilarating Kanagawa Derby, featuring a thrilling match between Yokohama Marinos and Kawasaki Frontale.

This gallery is designed for fans of street photography, people interested in visiting Japan, and sports junkies who love ground hopping. My images serve as a gateway to the authentic experiences that Tokyo has to offer, encouraging viewers to immerse themselves in both its culinary and sports culture.

Most of my photos were taken with my XT200, but my trusty iPhone sufficed for the football match at the end of the day. All photos were edited in Adobe’s Lightroom.
